Frenetic March produces 211,000 new jobs

Off the sucess of February’s increasing employment numbers, March continued the upward trend with 211,000 new jobs. The most prominent industries to have benefitted most from these numbers are business, health care, education, and technology, each with significant job growth.

In the business industry, the financial market has gained 16,000 new jobs mainly concentrated in insurance and credit services. Within technology, computer design and information systems have gained 3,600 new jobs and legal services, which can include paralegal positions and legal executive assistants, have gained 3,000 new jobs.

The health care industry has gained a dramatic 24,300 new jobs, which includes 8,400 new jobs in hospitals and 15,900 new jobs in ambulatory service, which includes employment in doctor’s offices and other medical facilities. Careers in health care include medical assisting, nursing, surgical technology, and medical billing and coding.

Finally, education employment numbers have improved with 4,700 new jobs. Whether teaching, working with curriculum, or in education administration, education shows promise of industry growth as education becomes a critical factor in the job market.
