Rapid job growth in February
After excellent beginnings in January, the upward trend in employment has leaped forward in February with a stunning 243,000 new jobs in an array of industries including finance, education, and health care.
Business and Finance are seeing 16,200 new jobs for the second month of the year, spread out over different careers in banking, credit, investments, and insurance. Real estate, rentals, and leasing have also experienced growth with 5,700 new jobs.
Similarly, the health care industry is rapidly expanding with 18,200 new jobs as well as 5,700 new jobs in social services and assistance. Physician’s office jobs have gone up by 3,800 new jobs and hospital employment has increased by 5,600 new jobs nationwide. Education and its services have had an enormous 23,100 new job increase.
